Care & Use
This natural, food-safe wood conditioner is used to finish, protect, and restore wood boards, bowls, and utensils.
Our fine-grit sanding sponge makes refinishing and revitalizing easy. Gently take care of raised wood grain or stained areas to give cutting boards and other wooden products a new, smooth finish.

Why should I use this?
Natural wood products are porous and dry out with use. Wood can expand and contract with moisture and humidity if not kept properly hydrated with a conditioner, which leads to cracking and splitting. With regular conditioning, your cutting board will stay flat, develop a near-watertight seal for easier cleaning, and last a lifetime.
When and how do I use the conditioner?
Anytime your wood product feels dry. Apply with your hands or a lint-free cloth. Use enough to cover all surfaces. Wipe off excess or allow to absorb into wood. You’ll need to use more at first to establish a “seasoning,” then upkeep as needed.
When and how do I use the sanding sponge?
Anytime your board feels rough or needs a reset. Sand with the direction of the grain to smooth the surface.
How do I clean my board?
Clear the surface with a towel or bench scraper. After heavier use, hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Recondition as necessary.
How is this different from mineral oil?
Our food safe conditioner is a mineral oil free alternative. While you can use mineral oil to maintain your board, our conditioner is a proprietary blend of ingredients that better seals the board over time, creating an almost watertight surface. The mix of coconut oil and wax compounds creates a longer lasting seal that rejuvenates the wood.
